Andrea Tarud was born and raised in Colombia, South America, and moved to the US almost two decades ago. As a law student in Colombia she graduated top of her class with honors. Due to life changing circumstances at the time her family moved to the US, where she obtained a Master of Science in Legal Studies.
While in college, Andrea worked in government courts and had a passion for justice. She is adamant about proving her point by supporting arguments and facts. Over the years working in a private law firm, she has discovered how exciting it is to be part of the team bringing justice for clients.
Andrea likes to help people. When a client comes to the firm it is because that person has a problem and needs help. She readily assists clients in reaching a favorable solution to their legal matter. Hence, negotiations are that part of the legal process that she is most passionate about having witnessed how the audacity of the opposing attorney plays an important and decisive role in the outcome of a case.
Outside of the office, Andrea enjoys tennis. This sport engages your mind and body at the same time, and, when you are on the tennis court, you simply forget about everything else. She is an avid competitor and so all year long she participates in several friendly and competitive leagues. She likes watching any tennis professional match, but also enjoys watching the Miami Heat and Colombian National Soccer Team games with her two boys and husband. The family loves dining out and exploring new restaurants, especially Middle Eastern and Japanese food. She is also addicted to coffee, so coffee shops are among her favorite places.
Reading is another hobby Andrea enjoys whenever time allows. Her favorite book is Beneath a Marble Sky and favorite TV show is Friends. She never gets tired of watching the re-runs over and over again.
